"I love the sense of achievement when you progress to more challenging tricks that you never thought possible"
About you in two/three sentences: I lead a busy full on life and love making the most of the great outdoors whether it be mountain biking, walking, skiing, trekking….. I love to travel and visit new places and through my job as a creative services manager in the travel industry I have been fortunate over the years to travel far and wide. Now, as a mature pole student Ive come to realise that in order to maintain such a life style I need to increase my flexibility and strength in order to remain supple and pain-free.
What age did you start pole fitness with Pole Dynamics?
How long have you been pole dancing?.........10 years on and off at several different pole schools in Kent and Surrey.........
What made you start?
It looked fun, started it as a bit of a joke with friends in Sevenoaks and was great girl time. I always loved gymnastics as a kid and it looked a great way to get back some of that flexibility.
What’s kept you coming back/what do you love the most about your hobby?
I love the sense of achievement when you progress to more challenging tricks that you never thought possible, plus it’s a great way to keep flexible and supple.
What’s your biggest pole achievement?
Superman, to dove to aerial invert. Never thought I would have the flexibility or strength to achieve it. Iron X – can’t believe Im well on the road to achieve this too.
What’s your favourite trick?
Half moon, it gives you a really good stomach stretch and feels fab.
What would you say to anyone thinking about starting pole fitness?
You never know what you’ll be like till you try it, all shapes and sizes and everyone excels at different tricks. The reward comes in achieving what you believe to be impossible. Every year I think maybe this will be last and Im getting too old but as long as I can keep improving then I will be poling.
